Allie Chipkin is a Poughkeepsie native singer-songwriter currently based in Boulder, CO.  Allie pulls musical influences from the folk, jazz, pop, country, and musical theater worlds.  She attended The Boston Conservatory as a Musical Theater major but eventually found herself a Skidmore graduate with a BA in English.  Allie combines 14 years of classical voice training with her appetite for poetic language to create music that is both vocally and viscerally complex.  In the writing process, Allie lets her melodies follow the emotional arc of her words and allows those words to be unapologetic.  Allie's first album, Honey & Knives (2014), found particular inspiration from Joni Mitchell, Sara Bareilles, Patti Smith, Ani DiFranco, and Laura Mvula.  Please support Allie and her music by purchasing Honey & Knives off iTunes or from www.alliechipkin.bandcamp.com. Peace, love, and many thanks!

Singing at Fenway Park was such a surreal experience.  I never imagined I would actually get the chance to sing before 30,000 people, much less at a Boston Red Sox game!  My family was so excited to come down onto the field with me (they are HUGE Sox fans) and I couldn't have been more thrilled that we all got to experience this side by side.  So proud to make those I love proud, and so happy to be living my dreams!  Thank you all for your support!
